This project investigates the measurement of child and adolescent wellbeing following a deprivation approach. We consider three dimensions in our index: housing, health and social participation. Drawing on graded response models (GRM), this study evaluates the psychometric properties of the self-assessment and possession ratings of dataset collected through the application of individual questionnaires. Microdata is used to check IRT assumptions such as unidimensionality and local item dependence. The goodness of fit of the GRM to the data and the item characteristic curves are evaluated. Differential item functioning (DIF) procedures are also performed to detect item bias by gender and age.
